Hi-Hat 2

Longer, more open hi-hat companion to Hi-Hat 1. Great for open hats, ride-like textures and shakers.

Available on: Track 6
Built on: Mutable Instruments Plaitshi_hat model (open variant).

Character

Same six-partial metallic noise voice as HH1, tuned here for longer, more sustained hats. The noise balance is pushed further so you can dial in open hats, rides and tambourine-like textures.

Parameters

The hh2-allparams macro exposes all five DSP parameters across two pages (OLED short label: Hat 2):

Page Knob 1 Knob 2 Knob 3 Knob 4
Voice Freq Tone Decay Noise
Snap Accent

Voice

Parameter Range What it does DSP
Freq low → high Centre pitch of the hat partials f0
Tone warm → bright Bandpass / highpass colour tone
Decay short → long Open-hat decay time decay
Noise metallic → noisy Blend between tuned partials and white noise noisiness

Snap

Parameter Range What it does DSP
Accent soft → hard Velocity / emphasis accent

Pair HH1 (closed) and HH2 (open) on adjacent tracks and use Mutes to sculpt the groove.
