Sequencer
The sequencer is the heart of the tbd 16 — a 16-track step sequencer where each track can play its own pattern at its own length.
How it works
Each of the 16 tracks has 6 pattern slots, each up to 64 steps long. Tracks can play different patterns simultaneously, so you can build evolving, polyrhythmic grooves.
Steps aren’t just on/off — every step can hold parameter locks that override sound or mixer parameters for that step only, giving you dynamic, expressive sequences without touching the knobs.
Tempo is set globally, and the tbd 16 can sync to external MIDI clock or Ableton Link.
