automat controller MK2
The next generation of the automat controller — same plug-and-play solenoid workflow, now with a USB host port and a standalone mode.
What’s the same
Everything that made the original automat controller great is still there:
- 12 universal DC outputs (12–24 V) driving solenoids, motors and other mechatronic elements.
- USB MIDI and TRS MIDI input.
- Plug-and-play — no coding, no soldering.
- Compatible with the whole existing Elements and Adapters line-up.
- Works with every DAW, app or hardware MIDI controller that speaks standard MIDI.
What’s new
USB host port
A USB-A host port lets you plug a class-compliant USB MIDI controller directly into the automat — no computer needed. Novation Launchpads are natively supported for hands-on triggering and sequencing of the 12 outputs.
Standalone mode
In standalone mode the MK2 runs on-board sequencing firmware. Connect a Launchpad over USB host and the automat becomes a fully standalone mechanical instrument: step-sequence solenoid hits from the grid, no DAW required.
Everything else is MK1
Shape, mounting, power input, outputs and MIDI workflow are identical to the MK1. If you already own an automat toolkit, all your accessories, adapters and setups carry over unchanged.
